Who we are

This website, dotapp.biz, is operated by Dot App Ltd, 6-ti Septemvri Blvd 187, 3rd floor, 4000 Plovdiv, Bulgaria. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For any question about this policy, write to [email protected].

What we collect

When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect the information you enter: your name, company, work email, phone number if you provide it, your role, what you are interested in, and the text of your message. Our web server also records technical data with every request, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, in server logs used to keep the site secure and running.

Why we collect it

We use your contact details and message to answer your request, arrange a demo, or discuss the services you asked about. The legal basis is the steps you asked us to take before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Server logs are kept in our legitimate interest to protect the site against abuse and to diagnose faults.

Where it goes

Your message is sent through Microsoft Graph to our sales mailbox on Microsoft 365, and a short confirmation, without the text of your message, goes to the email address you entered. Before your message is accepted, a check by Cloudflare Turnstile confirms that the form was submitted by a person and not by an automated script; that check processes technical data about your browser. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.

The processors that handle this data on our behalf are Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery, bot protection and the technical logs of every request), PostHog, Inc. (website analytics, hosted in the European Union), Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd (Microsoft 365, where our mailbox lives) and the operator of the server infrastructure the site runs on. Each processes data under a data processing agreement.

How long we keep it

Contact messages and the replies to them are kept for 24 months after our last exchange, unless we enter a business relationship, in which case they become part of the customer record. Server logs are kept for 90 days.

Analytics and cookies

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used — which pages people read, where they arrive from, and where the contact form loses them. It also records the clicks and taps you make on a page, including the text of the button or link you used, how quickly pages load in your browser, and the technical details of any error the site runs into while you are on it. PostHog is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt) and processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies.

• If you accept, PostHog sets a cookie that recognises your browser between visits, so we can see the pages a visitor read before getting in touch. If you then send us a message through the contact form, your email address becomes your identifier with PostHog. It keeps identifying you on every future visit, not only this one, until you decline or clear your browser's storage. The legal basis is your consent.
• If you decline, or do not answer, no analytics cookie is set and nothing stored on your device identifies you. Your browser does keep a flag, written on your first visit, that tells PostHog not to identify you or set cookies; and once you answer, it also keeps your answer, so that we stop asking. We still measure the visit in the same way, without cookies: PostHog calculates a privacy-preserving hash on its own servers that cannot be traced back to you.

We never send the contents of your message, your name or your email address to PostHog as part of this usage data. The only exception is the identifier described above, which only happens if you accepted cookies and then chose to write to us.

You can change your answer at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Declining after accepting stops the cookie being used.

The videos on the site are hosted by us and load from our own servers.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection at cpdp.bg.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. Substantial changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
